Description

Let's be honest. If you decide that you WANT this dress and that you can't possibly live without it - I will be JEALOUS. It's true. In fact I am not entirely sure that I can live without it. I rather fancy it actually - and that's probably an understatement. What's not to like? For one it is made with one of my personal favourite blends - a luxuriously soft, light and warm 70% Merino and 30% Angora that has a delicious felt-like texture. Also I LOVE the colours - I CHOSE the colours! Inspired by Nature and the Sea that is so abundant and prominent in New Zealand I couldn't help but combine Turquoise, Bottle Green, an Autumnal Rust and a Honey-ish Tan - Nature proves they go so well together - why not in a dress then? The remaining winning elements are no-brainers for me - who doesn't like 60s-ish style mod fashion, the attention grabbing round Egyptian-esque collar neckline and to-die-for chevron stripes! And to top it all off I dare anyone to defy that it's hard not to be a sucker for the flattering and forgiving form of an A-line flare. I would continue to go on and extol it's versatility as a Tunic/Overdress but I fear I might well be dragged "off-stage". So there it is - if you desire this practical, warm, functional, flattering but MOST importantly undeniably gorgeous and stunning dress and (despite my raving claims of devotion for it) determine to acquire it for yourself, I WILL be jealous. But.....I will just have to get over it!

Point of interest: This dress is "famous"! Or at least has some claim to "fame" - I designed and made it as an entry for WoolOn - an annual fashion competition and show that is part of Alexandra's Blossom Festival where entries must have a fibre content of at least 50% Wool. It was also the first time I entered WoolOn.

Note: This dress is a one-off - the wool it is made with was from a local Wool Mill which has sadly been closed down - very sad indeed as it was apparently the last running Wool Mill in New Zealand. Hence I cannot guarantee that I would be able to acquire enough wool in the same blend (let alone same colours!) to recreate it.

Please Note: Courier within NZ arrives next day, delivery to your door, signature required for South Island residents - 2 days for North Island residents. The Courier sadly does not deliver to RD addresses.
I will be adding P&P prices shortly for those overseas - if I do not have a P&P price for your country please do not despair! I am more than happy to post to you (it is rather the matter of weighing, measuring and calculating etc postage for zillions of countries that is aggrievous!) - simply let me know your country and what item(s) you so desire and I will calculate and add/edit (combined if applicable) postage options especially for you : )
