Description

Artist quality, handmade paint made from charcoal from wood from my garden. The charcoal has been hand ground into powder and then made into paint using gum arabic only. The paint is then placed into watercolour half-pans.

This paint is very fine grained, and the pans are filled little by little with a new layer being added when the preceding one has dried. The top layer usually dries with a dimple marking where the liquid paint was poured.
