Description
I originally started making these in March of last year as a Red Cross Earthquake Apppeal Fundraiser. In 6 months I proudly made around $1200 for the appeal.
I then started to make more pendants and brooches out of all kinds of vintage stamps and pendants. It was a great distraction from the quakes and now I am ADDICTED!
I love seeing people wear the Cathedral Jewellery as it is a treasure we have lost forever.
The Christchurch Cathedral stamp was released by the NZ Post Office in 1950 for the Centennial Celebrations and I believe it is a beautiful piece of kiwiana art. I wish I knew who the artist was.
The pendants come with a silver or bronze adjustable ball chain. Some have a red love heart and a caption typed on a vintage typewriter. "My City", "Faith", "Treasure" are some of the captions I have done.
