“A memory is something left behind, fragile like a shadow in the dark – the shadows are alive, like something not completely happened, calling to be happening anytime … ”

‘Fragile Shadows’ takes the viewer into an imaginary world where creatures meet in the shadows of long lost memories, remembering friendship and loss. The artwork includes new work on paper, wood and canvas as well as mixed media.

Drypoint etching print on 300g acid free 100% cotton etching paper (Hahnemühle).

Paper size: approx. 26 cm x 35 cm ( 10.2 inch x 13.7 inch)
Actual print area: 19,4 cm x 27,5 cm (7.6 inch x 10.8 inch)

Limited edition of 12

Each print is signed, numbered and dated.

Printed July 2010 as part of the ‘Fragile Shadows’ exhibition.

Drypoint is an intaglio printmaking technique. An image is incised into a plate with a hard-pointed "needle" of sharp metal or diamond point. Traditionally, the plate was copper or zinc, but today, a clear acrylic sheet is commonly used.

All prints are hand printed. The nature of its manufacture means that there might be colour and print variations even in prints of one edition.

The print is unframed and shipped flat in a ridged mailer.
