Description

This pair of patches features images of a male and female huia; the last confirmed sighting of these native New Zealand birds was in 1907.

They are screenprinted on unbleached calico, which is reinforced with interfacing.
They are oval shaped and measure approximately 10.5 X 7cm.

The edges of the calico are secured with zigzagging and the outside of the calico will fray down to the zigzagging, giving them a 'frayed on purpose' kind of look.

Use them to patch your clothing, pin them to a jacket as a brooch, sew them to a quilt...

Keep one for yourself and give the other one to someone special...or keep them both for yourself!
