How do I use the facial oil?

After cleansing, gently massage 5 drops of your chosen oil into the face and neck for at least 30 seconds.


How long will a bottle last?

Once opened the oils have a shelf life of 6 months, if kept in cool, dry conditions. We recommend using up to 5 drops of oil for each application, so if used daily a 15ml bottle should last between 1-2 months. Some people prefer to use the oil as a weekly treatment, in which case the bottle should last a lot longer.


Will the oils make my skin too oily?

No. If you use our facial oils as advised they will help to balance the oil production of your skin, not make it too oily.


How does this work?

The base oils of Rice Bran and Camellia used in the 'Moisture Balance' range contain essential fatty acids that are used by the sebaceous glands (oil glands) as a normal component of sebum (hydrates and protects the skin). The oils penetrate deeply and work with selected essential oils to stabilise the oil production of your skin, no matter what your skin condition.

Each of the facial oils uses either one or both of our traditional Japanese base oils, Rice Bran and Camellia. These oils are full of Vitamin E, are highly nourishing and penetrate deeply, so wont leave your skin feeling oily.

Other base oils are added as needed to assist in creating a suitable blend, as are selected essential oils (including essential oils from our core Japanese and New Zealand ingredients).
