Intense blue and aqua coloured silks and wool make up the soft body of the Dragonfly Child. Its’ eyes are dreaming of flitting over sparkling, lily filled ponds with its’ iridescent wings. These wings have a wire edge and are life-sized to the NZ giant dragonfly, or kapokapowai.
Length 12cm.
My “Bush Babies” reflect NZ flora and fauna and are made from handblended merino wool, (wet-) felted and lovingly handstitched to my own pattern.
Face and hands are cotton , they have a wire inner and are poseable .
Angora curls for hair and simple faces so that a child can imagine any emotion ; in the Rudolph Steiner/Waldorf style. They are meant for gentle play , or for a nature display table in your home.
Not recommended for children under 3 yrs of age.
