Description

this dress which is cut on the bias to allow a certain give for the otherwise slim fit. this also allows for growth in a young child, plus the adjustable shoulder straps which can be tied at different lengths.
i used fine needlecord in a murky green but livened things up with the appliqued front. it has a forest scene, with bird, trees, hills and a sun which is in fact a pocket. there are vintage buttons to depict lone berries on bare tree branches and a worm in birdies beak.
bias trim finishes off the hem and armholes, continuing up into shoulder straps.
all this could seem a bit much for just one garment but girls in the 3-4 yr age love the fairytale aspect of this dress.
the actual measurementsare 24" chest, 25.5" from where its tied in pic to hem, and 36" around bottom of hem.
all pure cotton remnants were used for this dress which is one of a kind.
