Description
This style of binding originally came from China. As the Chinese traditionally use brushes and ink to write on fine rice paper, double folded pages will absorb the ink better.
Recently, I thought to use recycled materials to make good-quality small note books people can use daily, and I think this style of binding is perfect for my new idea.
All paper used in these soft-cover notebooks is one-sided printed office waste. Each sheet has been hand trimmed, folded and sewn together. All cover materials are made from natural fibres: cotton, silk, flax... and they are taken from my off-cuts bin to be reused.
Because of its size (148mm x 105mm) and its soft cover, which makes it light and easy to carry in your bag the book would be ideal as a small gift.
