Welcome to the first of the New Season Whskr Art Doll Brooches. The bright colours of Spring really shine in this sparkling yellow and red statement piece. The sparkle comes from five large genuine Swarovski crystals that are heat set onto the flamboyant lace skirt.

This wonderful brooch stands 14.5cms/5ins high and is made from cotton fabric, which is carefully sewn and hand stuffed, with the signature Whskr raw edge painted in high quality Jo Sonja Rich Gold paint. She was then hand painted in sunshine yellow dressed in red silk ribbon and embellished with beads, vintage sequins, repurposed lace elements and tiny pearls. She feels firm to the touch and is robust enough to sit nicely on a coat, jacket or cardigan.

A brooch back is securely sewn to the reverse with 'invisible' sewing thread that blends well with the white cotton fabric. The brooch attachment also doubles as a hanger. Many of my customers have told me they love to display Whskr brooches when they are not being worn - I thought this was an awesome idea and had to share!

Final tiny flourishes can be see in the three tiny crystals across the hat of the cutest button face, and a tiny crystal shoe on each foot.
