I am Le Petit Artiste – The Little Artist; a miniature wearable journal for the artist.

Measuring 2 x 1 ½ cm, I am bound in soft reclaimed fawn suede which closes with a brown leather tie. Inside, you’ll discover 24 teeny weeny sheets (48 pages) of tea-stained paper to draw your little masterpieces. Hand-torn, and stitched with Irish linen thread, I’m a real little book just like my larger siblings – so don’t be afraid to draw what you will.

I am coupled with an 18mm wide magnifying dome in a vintage brass lace setting, featuring a reprinted, resized botanical illustration circa 1600s. The red & sepia hues evoke a whisper of yesteryear, guaranteeing you some pleasing attention!

Hanging from a fine antique bronze chain secured with a lobster clasp, my entire length of 12 inches means you can draw in me, wear me, & show me off all at once.

I would sit nicely with the artist, illustrator, nomad, flaneur, gypsy, bibliophile, bookbinder, wanderer, poet, librarian, thinker…and everyone in between.
