Two Jewellery Artists, Charmayne Dobbs and Ingrid Schloemer, invite you to join them for the 1st “SUMMER SILVER RETREAT” in Haumoana, Hawke’s Bay on 15 and 16 January 2011.


Cost $275 includes tuition, use of tools, firing service, material: 10g silver plate + wire (value $15) 2x 7g “Art Clay” Silver Clay and 2 c/zirkonias (value $60), BBQ dinner on Saturday night, drinks and nibbles throughout the weekend.

You will apply traditional ways of working with metals: sawing, filing, soldering, wire work, using hammers and pliers. You will also learn to work with a new contemporary material, precious metal clay: shaping, sculpting, cutting, sanding, drilling, setting stones, polishing, and maybe create some filigree work.

Places are limited to 12 people, you will be working in a group of six with one of the artists, and swap the following day to learn with the other.
