As synonymous as Jaffa’s, Crown Lynn is to Auckland what Royal Doulton is to London and like most Kiwis Grey St Studio is proud of its modest collection of Crown Lynn pottery.

However the Crown Lynn brand was not only gracing the hall tables of the nation, but a little special tribute was also gracing the New Zealand Railways in the form of the 1950’s NZR cup and saucer. And a few decades later in order to share the love, Kiwi fans were able to have their own little taste of NZR in the form of these now rare Crown Lynn printed tea towels.

At Grey St Studios we like a little bit of kitsch history as much as the next person, so we’re thrilled with this corker cushion crafted lovingly from one of Rudolf Boelee's hand printed commemorative tea towels.

With a hand-made inner – cotton lining with polyester filling pictured above – this quirky cushion measures 470mm x 350mm, and is looking forward to bringing a little bit of Crown Lynn kitsch to your home.
