Handpainted and Handprinted Cotton Cushion Cover - Nikau design.
This cover is made to fit a 45 X 45 cm inner. ( this is not included in this sale - but is a readily available size ).
The main background colours are a mixture of reds with a deep green and lime Nikau print.
The back is closed up with two press studs.
NIKAU The only palm species endemic to Aotearoa. A very slow growing palm - a 10 metre high tree may be up to 200 years old. Flowers burst from the base of the lowest branch in early summer, taking nearly a year for fruits to ripen turning vivid red.
