Lovingly hand-stitched from my own hand-felted merino fabric , this Steiner style toy is based on a beloved New Zealand bird. The black, pure NZ wool felt has silk embedded into it, and it shines like a real tui with streaks of greens and violets.

My “Bush Babies” reflect NZ flora and fauna and are made from handblended merino wool, felted and lovingly handstitched to my own pattern. They have a wire inner and are poseable . Angora curls for hair and cotton hands and faces embroidered with simple features so that a child can imagine any emotion ; in the Rudolph Steiner style. They are meant for gentle play , or for a nature display table in your home. Not recommended for children under 3 yrs of age.
