A pendant light shade hand made in Christchurch. Crafted from sustainable, plantation grown New Zealand pine, copper pins, bamboo fastening clips and recyclable polyproplene lampholders.
Each piece is hand made by me, at my home in Christchurch. The veneer is sourced from Auckland, and all the other components are made by local Christchurch firms. We have chosen our materials carefully with sustainability and recycling in mind.
The Braid is made by weaving strips of wood together, creating a form reminiscent of harakeke. When lit, the wood glows from within producing a lovely warm light and showcasing the natural woodgrain.
Dimensions: 400mm diameter, 180mm tall.
