250 gram boxes of this very traditional Egyptian flavour . . People are confused by liquorice , they expect a hard chewy black product when that is not what its really about - ours is soft , delicate but distinctive- commercial liquorice normally contains molasses which is a major contributor to that taste - The Egyptians have been using Liquorice root as a medicinal herb and flavouring since the time of the Pharoes and this is just one manifestation of that lengthy association .
