Everyone has a different story about prayer. Here are some comments from others about the reasons for using prayer beads and some of the uses other people have found for theirs:

*I use them when I pray to remind myself that I have faith and want to pray.
* I like to go outdoors with my beads once a week to sit in nature and remind myself of what is truly important to me.
*I assign a prayer to each bead and hold the bead as I read the prayer until I have memorized it. Then if I only say the first line, it will carry the weight of the whole prayer.
* I name each bead in the strand for a family member or loved one, then pray or think lovingly about them when I touch their bead.
* Great gifts for loved ones. Even if they never use them, they will have a constant reminder that they are loved.

I've made this set of prayer & meditation beads with blue gemstone beads - lapis and picture jasper - and finished the strand with a beautiful solid chrysocolla drop. The meditation symbol is a ceramic butterfly - the symbol of transformation and change - and the accents are bright gold and sparkling Swarovski crystals.

All the beads are individually wire-wrapped to make a very sturdy set of beads which last last for many years. A perfect set for someone who resonates with the color blue, or who is facing changes in their life.
