All about Jean Bags!:

Little recycled denim 'jean bags' provide hours of fun!
One side of the bean bag has a number symbol/word and the other side has the corresponding number of dots.

This is a set of 10 jean bags (1-10) in different colours, complete in their own draw string bag.

A is for Action

• Throwing and catching! Can you throw to your friends? Try sitting down or throwing to each other while you run around. Move close to your friends and then really far away.
• Can you throw over arm and under arm with both right and left hands?
• How high can you throw? Can you clap before you catch? How many claps can you do?
Try to clap under your knee before you catch.
• Can you spin around before you catch or catch your jean bag behind your back? Can you catch your jean bag on your shoulder, knee or foot? Try jumping up or sitting down to catch.
• Take some chalk outside and make a hopscotch course.
• Put containers on the ground and see who can score the most points by throwing their jean bags into them. What cool containers can you find around your house to throw your jean bags into? You can cut different size holes in old boxes.
• Play hide and seek with your jean bags. Which seeker can add up their points and get the highest score?
• Have your friends help you hold the corners of a big sheet. Can you make your jean bag jump around on the sheet like popcorn?
• Can you juggle your jean bags?
• Set up some empty bottles and make a bowling type game. How many bottles can you knock over with one throw?
• Of all the things above.. what can you do with your right eye closed, left eye closed or both?


B is for Balance

• Can you balance your jean bag on your head? Your elbow? Your knee? Can you move around or have a dance without your jean bag falling on the floor?
• Make an obstacle course and see who can make it all the way through keeping the jean bag on their back/shoulder/head/neck..
• Have a jean bag balance race.
• Put your jean bags close to each other on the floor and use them as a balance beam.


C is for Counting
• Have a look at the dots on your jean bags. Can you count them and put them in order?
• Use your jean bags to do simple math addition and subtraction. Use the dots first. See if you can use the dots to count on from a number.
• How many different pairs of jean bags can you put together to make 5? 8? 10?
• Sort your jean bags into odds and evens.

Colours may vary slightly from pictured.

Please note: Seams on the bean bags are triple stitched for durability during play.
They still need to checked regularly for signs of wear and care taken around small children.

All about Ribbon Wands:

Wands provide children with endless possibilities for imaginative movement and play.
Each wand has 14 ribbons, approximately 55cm long, all 7 colours of the rainbow.

Choose the wand colours from:
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo (purple) or violet (pink)
