Hello crafters, we are an Auckland based, women-owned and operated funeral company, operating sustainably and proudly using only New Zealand made products. We were the first company to start using shrouds as an alternative to coffins, and are now looking for someone to quote us on the cost of a felted wool shroud cover. It needs to be approximately 1800 in length and 750 in width. It will be seen at the funeral as it covers the body and is buttoned on to a wooden base, so needs to be aesthetically pleasing to the hand as well as the eye. Any other ideas welcome. Currently we offer a crushed dupion silk shroud, and a calico one, See them on our website www.stateofgrace.net.nz. The silk one is substantial, and expensive, as it wraps around the body, but the felted one can just be a cover, and we will use calico as the base.
