Knitting in Dunedin?

For any Dunedin knitters - how do you source your yarns? I've just started to knit, so I've been 'borrowing' some balls from my mum's stash and picking up some odds and ends from Butterflies for practising new stitches (believe me, much needed!). I know there are shops in the Centre City Mall and Lower Stuart Street, but are there any other gems I'm missing out on?

Re: Knitting in Dunedin?

Hi Fernlight :) I like Knitworld in Lower Stuart St and Knitters Choice in Crawford St, but I tend to buy yarn on special wherever I can find it: Spotlight, Kmart... There are a few op shops that sell bags of scrap yarns, which is what I like to use. Butterflies and the Red Cross Shop in Princes St quite often have decent amounts of matching balls and recycled yarn. Good luck!
