New to Felt - The SuburbsHello,
Let me introduce myself, I'm Graham and I've been a digital designer for a decade now. I've recently moved to NZ and have setup as designer at Springload here in Wellington. I always want to keep myself busy with external projects outside of client constraints so I setup The Suburbs and created a series of prints which I hope to expand on, if the demand is there. Here is the my site: http://www.alittlelesscoffee.com The idea behind the prints are to celebrate where you live, love, or want to live. The prints aren't simply manufactured on a computer, they are hand painted in water colour and then scanned. The hand painted edge of the suburbs border represents the bush/green and a shape geometric shaped edge is the urban. So, one suburb might have a border that's mostly urban so that will have a sharp edge and if it backs onto bush area, it's the hand painted smooth, bubbled edge. If you get what I mean I'm currently shooting the prints properly to show them off in different environments. I would love to hear what you think and any advice for getting my wares into the public eye? Thank you for your time Graham |
