Hi there. Is it possible to check out another felt user before they buy from you? Eg someone messages you to ask if you can make something similar to an item you've listed for sale. If they actually purchase I can see their record, and if they are also a seller you can see their shop and any feedback, but how about if they only buy, and so don't have a shop? Is there any way I can see their record before committing to get the materials and do the work? Thank you.

Buyers have the same feedback rating/comment system as sellers, but if they are new then sadly you have no way to tell if they'll go through with the order.
You could just ask for payment before you begin the order. Perhaps set up a custom listing for them and explain that it'll take __ days/weeks for the order to be completed. Once they've made payment, then buy supplies and get working on their order.
