Salt = quirky and a little less than ordinary. The familar, yet oddly strange. The sleeper in the bunch.

About me:
I am a painter, a sculptor, a crafter, a maker. I studied a Bachelors of Visual Arts (BVA), majored in painting at AUT, graduating in 2005.

About my work:
My interests involve anything quirky and the less ordinary. My style preference at the moment is a mixture of punk, pop, surrealism & 1950’s illustration. I would describe my pieces as ‘creepy cuteness’ I love oxymora, they make perfect sense to me... I love to portray that in my work with childlike innocence with an underlying sense of unease.

About the shop items:
After years of persuasion from friends and family I am now reproducing my artworks (and creating new pieces) in the form of accessories. The sock dolls are all new materials as is the material for the 'patches' and all other products (excluding the bags and wallets). I am a fan of upcycling and use fabrics from garments and/or donated fabric to create the bags and wallets. Each piece will be different due to the availability of the materials and the hand crafted elements if you want multiples . I can do commissions - please message me to discuss.

I hope you enjoy my shop!! Thank you for visiting.
