This stunning, hand embroidered kokako is ready to hang.
I have hand-stitched a native kokako image onto a cream cotton. This has been appliqued onto a gray wool bordered with a cream lace, then all set onto a green stripped cotton stretched over a pine frame. Phew, that's a lot of handiwork!
New Zealand native bird, the rare Kokako is now confined to controlled areas mainly around the North Island. A beautiful bird with a distinctive haunting organ-like call.
