Description

This hammered brass brooch, embellished with a charm, symbolises, for me the free spirit of the knitting grafitti artists who roam the world cheering up the environment in small ways, giving us pause for thought as we rush through our days.

My own Guerilla of the yarn and fiber world shows her inner 'strength' in her charm and her textured brass construction and these contrast boldly with her soft hand knitted and beaded skirt . She is determined to make a difference, a statement.

Why no face? Well, guerilla knitters, those who surprise and delight us, do so at dead of night when the world is quiet - they work anonymously, leaving their handmade offerings - their time spent knitting, their colours and their skills at the mercy of the world.
