Description
#099 Gloomflower
Qwerty squinted in the dusk of the cavern. He thought he saw faint dots of grey, dancing slightly in the gloom. He blinked heavily, trying to refresh his eyes. The dots didn't go away.
"Iluria, do you see those?"
Iluria raised the lamp, and her gaze followed Qwerty's pointing finger. She stepped forward. As the light fell on them, the grey dots became the pearlescent centres of dark petalled, bell-shaped flowers on thin, drooping stems, their faces turned dolefully downwards. Blackish, dull-looking leaves with serrated edges hugged the floor of the cavern, leaving the blooms to nod sombrely on the tops of their long stems.
"Gloomflowers," she said.

A glass bellflower, in a colour called 'black diamond', is wire-wrapped and dangles against an antiqued-bronze coloured skeleton leaf. The 'pearlescent centre' of the flower is indeed a slate-grey glass pearl.
The flower and leaf hang from an antiqued-brass coloured, curb style chain. The lobster-claw clasp can be fastened at any point on the chain, making the necklace easily adjustable.
Subdued, earthy colours and a lightweight pendant make this piece easy to wear.
The necklace measures 51.8cm, including the clasp. The leaf measures 54mm lengthwise, while the 'gloomflower' measures 19mm, including the wire-wrapping.
Silverlight Jewellery designs are handmade works of art. Each one has a unique name and number, and will never be repeated.
