Description

Celebrating the domestic goddess of the 1940s, 50s and 60s, "Grace" is one of my original paintings from my recent exhibition at Thistle Hall Gallery.
With soft rose pinks and delicate pale green tones this painting is feminine & romantic.

I am inspired by vintage dressmaking illustrations and old advertising imagery.
From beautiful, doe-eyed, apron-wearing housewives to their little girls in party dresses playing musical chairs, my paintings are a colourful glimpse of lush domestic bliss.

"Grace" is 30x40cm and acrylic on boxed canvas finished with a beautiful gloss coat which not only protects but gives the paint the rich velvety impression of oils.
