This is the long range forecast for the makersphere, brought to you by Felt! October is looking bright, with a chance of early Christmas shopping in most regions.

Big-smoke favourite Crafternoon Tea brings a crafty high to Auckland on Saturday 19 October. This month’s market features a fine range of familiar Felt faces – here’s a taste:

Also in Auckland on 19 October is the Papakura Homemade Market, a new face on the market scene setting up shop in the Pahurehure Shopping Centre bright and early from 9am.

Moving down the country, Arts and Crafts Gisborne presents its annual Labour Weekend Spring Fair on 26 and 27 October at the Lawson Field Theatre, with stalls and demonstrations to interest everyone, including the work of our very own pacificbatik. Kick-off at 10am both days.
 

The Marlborough Craft Collective will be celebrating the talents of its local makers on Saturday 19 in Blenheim, from 10am at St Christopher’s Hall, Weld St. Admission is by gold coin donation.

In Canterbury, the brand-new Craft Chic Market is coming to the Lincoln Events Centre this Saturday 19 October, bringing you a range of local makers’ stalls and workshops. You might even spot this wee character there…

Meanwhile at central Christchurch’s fabulous Pallet Pavilion, the Kiwiana Spring Festival will be treading the boards from 11am. Join thirty talented makers of art, crafts, food, fashion and music to celebrate spring in Canterbury.

Finally, in the south, Dunedin’s Market22 celebrates their first anniversary on Saturday 26 October. This Warehouse Precinct market features emerging artists and designers, giving the local community access to original and repurposed artefacts.
