At 10am on Sunday 30 August a new craft market will open for business in Selwyn, Christchurch. Organised by Vicky, Emma and Alison (above), the Rolleston Craft Market will be held at the Rolleston Community Centre on the last Sunday of every month.
There are over 20 stalls confirmed for the opening market, as well as a fundraising effort from Rolleston School. (A stall will be made available at each market for local non-profit organisations to assist in their fundraising efforts.) You can expect to see jewellery, organic cosmetics, children’s toys and clothing, fancy dress, art, dolls, cards, clothing, lavender products, shrubs, produce, cheese, honey and much more.
Remember to take cash, as there’s no Eftpos available onsite, and mark future dates for the market in your diary now: 27 September, 25 October and 29 November. Stay tuned for details of the pre-Christmas market, to be held mid-December.

Alison here. Just wanted to let you local crafties know we are know 45 stalls strong, so if you feel like surrounding yourself in some quality craft and be inspired, come along and check it out. For you people who don’t venture south of Christchurch much, we are only 30 mins drive from Chch Central!

For Vicky: The bead place in the US I couldn’t remember [apart from Shipwreck Beads] was Ornamental Resources – however they have shifted location and changed their name as well.

Hi Just checking to see if I was able to have a stall as well. I do not sell home made craft though. My sister and I sell a type of Silly bands which are very popular in the U.S at the moment. We call ours Wristeze because we have a variety of brands.The kids love them. You can collect them, trade them and wear them. Thank you for time,
